The City of Saint Paul had a quest-
They threw out a Sidewalk Poetry Contest.
Many people wrote poems,
Some short and some long.
We sent them ours- expecting success
But were soon rejected and left somewhat distressed
and we’ve been struggling what to do from then on…
We got rejected. Chances are unless you were one of the lucky 9 – yours was too.
We want your poetry!
Each month from now until the snow starts coming down, we’ll pick 3-5 submissions and stencil them in sidewalk chalk somewhere appropriate in the city. We’ll post pictures of the poems with the hashtag #STPPoetry on our twitter and facebook accounts so you can go out and find them, take your own picture, and reply – kind of like a scavenger hunt.
